KRNU: A Retrospective is a 6-part series covering the history of 90.3 KRNU and the memories made inside the booth on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.Host Sam Broderson talks to former and current faculty, staff and students about their memories of the station and details the KRNU by the decades to celebrate its milestone 50th anniversary.In the first episode of our KRNU Retrospective, we hear from some of the original staff of KRNU and how the station got off the ground. Along with an examination of the music scene of the 1970’s, we will cover the daily programming and touch on some of the important events in the first decade of the station’s existence.
