Nehemiah was willing to fight the good fight and cast a vision of holiness and excellence for the People of God in an era of decay and destruction. He did not wait on anyone else, but picked up a trowel and a sword and was willing to use them both. We are in a moment of spiritual warfare where our institutions have either been trained not to act on our behalf, to exploit us, or to outright work against us. We must not wait on others and be personally willing to pick up the tools of righteousness and fight the good fight of the Gospel.
