Have you ever prayed a prayer simply for the sake of praying and not expect God to answer or give you a directive?

The thing about prayer is that it is a conversation between you and your Creator. It is active and it involves waiting in anticipation and expectation for God will say.

We have to:
1. Expect a response - Habakkuk‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬
”I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts; I will look to see what he will say to me, and what answer I am to give to this complaint.“

2. Test what comes - if it’s from God, it won’t b contrary to His word- 1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
”Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,“

3. Have Faith - Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
”And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.“


‭ Having an expectation of God makes it more likely that you will receive from Him.
