Episode Synopsis

In Genesis Chapter 15, we see one of the most powerful moments in the Bible — when God makes a personal promise to Abram (later known as Abraham). This chapter is all about faith, patience, and trusting that God’s timing is always perfect, even when things don’t make sense right away. After Abram’s victory in the previous chapter, God appears to him in a vision. God tells Abram, “Don’t be afraid. I am your shield, and your reward will be very great.” But Abram is honest with God. He says, “Lord, what good are blessings if I don’t have a child? I have no one to pass them on to.” Abram had been waiting for years for the promise of a child, and it still hadn’t happened. That’s when God takes Abram outside and tells him to look up at the night sky. God says, “Count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have.” In that moment, Abram believes what God says — and God counts Abram’s faith as righteousness. This means God was pleased with Abram’s trust, even though he couldn’t see how it would all happen.Join Ya Girl Renae As she explains each chapter of the bible.
