Marking the 16th release on Juicebox Music, as well as the closing out 2016, Australian rising star Luka Sambe makes his debut with a 3-track EP titled ‘Becoming’. His productions have found their place in well-respected labels like Lost & Found, Mesmeric, Perspectives Digital & Traum. With a knack for creating exquisite soundscapes, along with serious attention to detail, his music portrays a sonically-lush journey that many crave in this formulaic world. With this EP, he showcases his diversity in electronica, techno & progressive house, all with the special ‘Luka’ touch.

Kicking off is the title track ‘Becoming’, where a plethora of spacey electronics & counter-melodies on a carefully programmed percussive groove drives through, occasionally visited by soaring vocals. It all eventually leads up to the break-down where a new harmonies converge to change the mood, just for a moment though, only to become what it started with. ‘Cooking With Dennis’ goes for the darker techno-inspired aura with chord-stabs & dispersed melancholic arps, building the tension up to a wonky synth-frenzy moment. ‘Lucent Amongst Black’ winds things down to a more organic & low-tempo space, encompassed with textural & sparkling sound design on a funky, yet deep shuffled groove.
