Listen "5. Lou Roy"
Episode Synopsis
Joy Sounds is proud to present an amazing artist, LOU ROY. When asked to describe her sound, Lou conjures up images of lonely desert bars with drum machines. In spite of being a remarkable vocalist, we talk about her inspiring and breakthrough moment as an artist when she discovered that her true gifts weren’t actually in music. We also have a moment when we reflect on the greatness of Joni Mitchell and how influential Joni was to Lou Roy. Lou performs three extremely moving songs live from the Joy Sounds studio including “Bite,” “Ari Knew Before Me,” and “If I Don’t Get on TV.” Follow Lou Roy on social media @_louroy.
