July 4th should be fireworks, cold beer and celebrations for an American, even one living in an often cold and rainy England. But I've never liked fireworks or been paticularily patriotic so as I set out for my walk a whole different set of thoughts come to my mind.

America is one of those products that simply does not live up to it's brand hype.
