Episode Synopsis
The roots of mindfulness mediation date to Buddhist teachings called Vipassana and whether the practice is secular or spiritual; the goal is the always same, that being to be aware of what one is feeling, thinking and sensing at the moment without judgment. While practicing mindfulness meditation, the objective is to monitor each moment and experience with acceptance. The famous saying "be here now" regardless of the external circumstances, memories from the past or fantasies about the future is the essence of mindfulness practice.
