In this new episode, I can't hype up The Queen's Gambit enough! I recently watched the Netflix Tv mini-series and then immediately read the novel, and I loved them both. The story is a coming-of-age drama that follows the recently orphaned 8-year-old chess prodigy, Beth Harmon on her quest to become the world chess champion.
The game brings her new friends and enemies and serves as a mirror to her life as she battles to master not only the game she loves but also her inner demons and addictions. This is an amazing book-to-film adaption for fans of chess and those new to the game. I can't wait to talk about this and I hope you enjoy it!
