Swifty first gained notoriety for being one of the pioneering forces behind the overwhelmingly received underground SmooveGroove events circa the mid-90s out of NYC and the tristate area. SmooveGroove Productions are responsible for throwing over 25 mid-to-large scale memorable electronic music events with top tier DJ & Producer talent; along with, countless weekly events throughout New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey. Prior to joining forces with SmooveGroove Jimmy was also a key member of Vibe Tribe & House of God productions.

From the time of his commencement out of the shadows and onto the stages of the underground, between 1997 until now, DJ Jimmy Swift has played at over 350 EDM, club, and rave themed events, has held many residencies, and still marches forward to the beat of the future; without ever forgetting one moment of the past. His forward vision as a DJ and ability to please crowds, has left an indelible influence on the techno and rave scene as he continues to challenge the parameters of what is possible with electronic sound.

Known for crushing dance floors, Jimmy Swift continues to redefine the possibilities of the DJ experience with remarkable pattern building ability, harmonic track-selection, and precision focused mixing. His deep knowledge of electronic music, massive track collection, and 18 years of experience behind the decks allow him to sculpt signature and memorable sound experiences across a wide range of EDM sounds and genres.

Swifty has an impeccable ear for good tracks and primarily plays in the realms of: Techno; Hard Techno; Hard-Trance; Classic Trance; Progressive Trance; Early Hard Style; Hard Dance & Hardcore; EDM; Electro; Breaks; Progressive House; and House Music.

Jimmy has had the privilege of being a member of legendary American dance music entities: SmooveGroove Productions, Vibe Tribe, House of God, and Hard To Swallow Records & Film Works alongside scene legends: Frankie Bones, Circuit Breaker, Hectic, and Decibel Flekx.

Through the fruits of hard work, talent, dedication, and commitment to the scene, Jimmy earned the privilege to perform for some of the most famous and esteemed US dance music promoters, such as: Park Rave Madness 194, Sympty Productions, Uptown Underground, Hardmind, WMC in Miami, New Era Events, Skys the Limit, True Productions, Live Free and Dance, and was a resident performer for the SmooveGroove collective's events.

Jimmy Swift has held the honor of playing back to back with electronic music legends such as: Sasha and Digweed, Frankie Bones, Chris Liberator, Woody Mcbride aka DJ ESP, Lenny Dee, X-Dream, Micro, Keoki, Commander Tom, Bad Boy Bill, Rob Gee, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Phantom 45, Mark EG, Space Girl, DJ Premier, Jam Master Jay, Heather Heart, DJ Dan, Donald Glaude, Dara, Reid Speed, Robbi Tronco, Nostrum, ODI, Omar Santana, Venom, Neil Landstrumm, Bam Bam, Agent Orange, Robbie Hardkiss, and so so many more.
