What many people don't know is that Abraham Lincoln was not the first attempted Presidential assassination.  Of course, we all know that he did not survive the shooting, but there was another attempt on a president's life and his name was Andrew Jackson.  This story has two very odd parts - 1) The assination was attempted, but he was not shot and 2) The court's decision from this clear murderest attempt was not what anyone thought the decision would be.
