In the mid 2000's I was introduced to Uncle Mike from Oceanside, CA through my good friend Denis Weiler up in NJ. UM surfboards were widespread at one point, but both he and Denis disappeared from the surfing world...until just a couple of months ago that is! I was delighted to see the return of Uncle Mike via Instagram and get both he and Denis on to tell the tale.
