Listen "Spanish Language Terms For Water Management"
Episode Synopsis
According to the Lawn and Landscape Magazine, by 2060, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that Latinos will represent almost one-third of the population; that’s 119 million people. This poses a considerable challenge and an opportunity for the landscape industry, which comprises over 35 percent, Hispanic laborers. We need to communicate better with our teams, and even if you have some knowledge of Spanish, you may not know the terms or pronunciation of the irrigation terms.
Join Daniel Martinez and Dave Laybourn to learn how to use terms and phrases in English and Spanish to talk about important water management topics such as soil moisture, water bucket, trigger point, evapotranspiration.
In this session, you will learn:
The proper way to pronounce and use common irrigation terms in a sentence
Ways to educate your teams in Spanish on standard irrigation practices
Proper pronunciation and use of essential irrigation products
Learn how to use the Jain Unity mobile app in Spanish to manage ETwater controllers in the field
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.Special Guests: Daniel Martinez and David Lindsey.
