Mark Makepeace was founding Chief Executive of FTSE International turning a small UK start-up into one of the largest and most successful global index providers - and a household name brand in Britain. Mark arrived in the City at the London Stock Exchange as a clerk to co-ordinate Big Bang - and never left.
At the beginning of 2019, he stepped down as Chief Executive of FTSE Russell and from his role as Executive Director responsible for the LSEG’s information services division. He is currently a non-executive director of SGX and Tadawul, the Stock Exchange of Saudi Arabia. In November 2020 he published his first book, FTSE: The Inside Story.
