Max Ganado is a semi-mythical figure in Maltese law: his widespread description as a ‘visionary’ hardly does him justice! Beginning as a maritime lawyer, Max hugely developed the Financial Services practices at GanadoAdvocates, the blue riband law firm in the island state. Max has been heavily involved in the drafting of new legislation required for the development of Malta as a financial centre, including the revision of the law relating to trusts and the law on legal persons and foundations, as well as on netting, securitisation, DLT and aviation. He was the Managing Partner of Ganado Advocates for 6 years prior to retiring in December 2020 and becoming a Consultant to the firm.
