Listen "Is the stock as strong as the brand? Investing during Olympics (087)"
Episode Synopsis
With the Olympics happening right now, many people are getting exposed to brands, and some of Signe's clients are getting inspired to add sports brands to their wishlist of potential stock buys. However, being a famous brand is not equal to being a wonderful business. Michelle and Signe discuss how to determine if the business behind the brand is as strong as the brand. When Nike's stock recently declined, analysts anticipated that the stock price might slightly increase during the Olympics due to the brand being so exposed to the public. Signe is in France for the Olympics, and her sound might be impacted by not being home with her own equipment.
