Today we have an open discussion about addiction and co-dependency and the concept of tough love. I know that without our moms love and telling the system we can be better and its wrong I wouldn't be here and healthy. In the addiction world the concept of tough love is taught in many of the rehab communities and it has been shown to be deadly. Why are we still repeating all the same garbage as things continue to spiral down in the addiction world? I am a firm believer in FIERCE TENDERNESS not tough love. How do we distinguish between enabling and just helping the person eat? Do you continue to judge and compare yourself as less than or more than others each day? Let's start transmuting the old world fears and master this world.
