We continue to examine God’s plan for the church. We see how Israel has earthly enemies (other nations), but the church’s main enemy is Satan. That is why Paul exhorts church-age believers to put on God’s armour for spiritual warfare. The main aspect of this warfare is a battle of the mind—a battle of worldviews, philosophies and ideas. Then we go on to examine how the church will be removed and protected from the time of Israel’s Tribulation. Safe in heaven and now with resurrection bodies, Jesus will evaluate His church at the Judgment Seat of Christ and reward believers. And the New Testament reminds us again and again that the removal of the church is imminent, meaning it can occur at any time. Then finally, at the end of the Tribulation, the resurrected church will return with Christ at His second coming to start the Kingdom of God on earth. We then examine the three main views about the future (Premillennialism, Amillennialism, Postmillennialism) and how they developed.
