Listen "5 Becoming your own boss: Kath Chadwick | Dod Yn Feistr Eich Hun"

Episode Synopsis

How do you make the move from a successful career working for someone else to doing whatever it is you do as your own boss?
In this episode, Gemma chats with Kath Chadwick, founder and co-director of Front Door Communications. Kath built a successful career as a BBC journalist and producer before being headhunted by comparison site Go Compare to look after their PR. But a deep-seated desire to be self-employed saw her give it all up to go freelance, before going into business with a friend.
Gemma and Kath discuss building a team, the vital importance of role models, mentors and of maintaining networks - and dealing with imposter syndrome, perimenopause, and mum guilt.

5 Dod Yn Feistr Eich Hun: Kath Chadwick
Sut ydych chi'n symud o yrfa lwyddiannus yn gweithio i rywun arall i wneud beth bynnag rydych chi'n ei wneud fel eich pennaeth eich hun?
Yn y bennod hon, mae Gemma yn sgwrsio â Kath Chadwick, sylfaenydd a chyd-gyfarwyddwr Front Door Communications. Adeiladodd Kath yrfa lwyddiannus fel newyddiadurwr a chynhyrchydd y BBC cyn cael ei bennaeth gan y safle cymharu Go Compare i ofalu am eu cysylltiadau cyhoeddus. Ond roedd awydd dwfn i fod yn hunangyflogedig yn ei gweld hi'n rhoi'r cyfan i fyny i fynd yn llawrydd, cyn mynd i fusnes gyda ffrind.
Mae Gemma a Kath yn trafod adeiladu tîm, pwysigrwydd hanfodol modelau rôl, mentoriaid a chynnal rhwydweithiau - a delio â syndrom imposter, perimenopause, ac euogrwydd mam.
