What’s YOUR story?

You know, the one that plays in the background of your day? Is it a story of “shoulds”? A story of obligations? A story of other-care vs. self-care? A story of “be better, do better, I’m not good enough/there yet”?

Whether we like it or not, we all have subconscious programming. We learned a whole lotta sh*t when we were younger that we can now choose to unlearn, especially if it’s damaging. It’s interesting, isn’t it? We do things because we feel like we should. We do things because we feel obligated, because other people are depending on us. If your shoulds and obligations are empowering, then more power to you 👊🏼 Oftentimes, though, they’re not 🤷🏼‍♀️ Womp womp.

The story that plays in your head most days? That’s the one you’re energetically available for. If you weren’t, it wouldn’t be the one on repeat. We can only change the story by becoming aware of its relentless hold on us.
