We speak with Leo of Mexicanos Unidos, a politically-and-community-oriented group in Sunset Park, Brooklyn working to develop a critical, collective social consciousness for the Mexican community. The group, which was founded during the George Floyd Uprisings of 2020, hosts a sprawling weekly open-air market in Sunset Park (the park) called Plaza Tonatiuh and engages community in political education.
