We continue our discussion of "A Knock At Midnight: Inspiration from the Great Sermons of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr." with sermon #3, “Loving Your Enemies.” Ickymac continues his tenure. We discuss Dr. King’s "practical hows" and "theoretical whys" one should love their enemy, as presented in the work. We also read from a letter to President Eisenhower, penned by Dr. King and the SNLC, pleading for the president to address American southerners and call for an end to the violence being inflicted upon Black citizens and communities by segregationists. All padded by witty banter between cohorts. It is not an easy journey, but one worth taking.
