Listen "Touching the Knit with Alice Meikle "
Episode Synopsis
I am joined by Alice, who is a photographer and texture enthusiast who started her brand, Touch Knit, in January 2022. She started Touch Knit after re-learning to knit while at home with a broken ankle. Since then, she has worked with some incredible stockists and hand knitted over 100 items, all of which are hopefully bringing sensory joy to their new owners. Alice wants to make and design things which last, come from natural fibres and feel good to the touch. She is inspired by her Scottish heritage as well as the wealth of creativity around her in Glasgow. She counts herself very lucky to be surrounded by an abundance of talented people who are forging their own paths and making incredible art.
