Episode Synopsis
David Drury is one of Australia's most acclaimed organists, known especially for his talents in improvisation. He is the only Australian organist to have won the prestigious "Tournemire prize" for improvisation at the St Alban's International Organ Competition. He has given recitals around the world including at Notre Dame and La Madeleine in Paris, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Cathedral in London, and has appeared many times at the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Town Hall. He is currently the Director of Music at St Paul's College within the University of Sydney and has published a large number of compositions for choirs through "Crescendo Music".
