Listen "Flooding in South Central Texas"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Impact Over Influence, we shift our gaze from celebration to compassion as we reflect on the devastating flooding across South Central Texas during this Fourth of July week. While many lit fireworks, others were clinging to hope, rescuing loved ones, praying for the missing, and mourning what or who was lost.We cling to the truth of Romans 8:28 — "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose." But how do we live that out when tragedy hits close to home?Jesus reminds us of the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind... and love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37–39). In times like these, love looks like showing up, speaking life, giving generously, and standing in the gap for those in need. This isn’t just a call to reflect, it’s a call to respond. Because when the waters rise, so must the Church. Tune in for a conversation rooted in faith, overflowing with compassion, and anchored in love.
