Illegal State of Mind is the solo project of Jakub Krysakowski — a one-man sonic journey through the deep, bass-heavy world of dub. Operating out of his home studio, Jakub crafts immersive soundscapes that blend elements of dub-reggae, dubstep, and psydub, exploring the full emotional spectrum of the genre — from chilled and meditative to dark and heavy.

Driven by a love for low-end frequencies, Illegal State of Mind is rooted in a passion for bass — whether from a rumbling bass guitar or rich analog synths. Every track is performed, produced, and mixed by Jakub himself, often featuring collaborations with vocalists or remixes of other artists’ works.

This is dub with a personal twist — intimate, experimental, and always tuned to the rhythm of the underground.
