Sarah Romanko has been active in the startup and VC ecosystem since 2019 and worked for several VC firms and startups. In June 2023, she started speaking at startup and VC events (30 to date) on pitching, funding and investing, selecting a viable startup to invest in, and obtaining experience in VC.Throughout her VC journey, she’s crafted her personal brand on LinkedIn and grew it to 9.4k+ followers by posting on 4 topics: 1) her community involvement, 2) startups to watch, 3) how GenZ can break into VC, and 4) how startups can secure funding. She also provides diverse founders with pitch deck advice, fundraising advice, and ideas on how to improve their business at no charge, and even advises professionals of all experience levels (students to experienced professionals) on how to break into VC.Her volunteer roles include serving as 1) the Chief of Staff and a member of the Investor Committee for the Inaugural Texas Venture Gala and Forum, 2) a SXSW 2024 Conference PanelPicker Evaluator, and 3) a member of the 2024 SkillsUSA National Courtesy Corps. In her free time, she loves going to the arcade and spending time with her boyfriend and family.Takeaways:
