Boundaries get a bad rap.
A lot of people tend to think of boundaries as a restriction. If someone enforces a boundary, it may be seen as a bad thing and that they are somehow wrong for having certain standards.
This is especially true for anyone used to being able to say and do whatever they want without encountering resistance. Having boundaries keeps your values in check.
