What we not fuxing with today is not reflecting on the journey. Today is episode 26! We started this podcast the second week of January - meaning we are halfway through the year! Query (and be honest now) what intentions did we set at the beginning of the year, and what attention have we placed on working those intentions?? Were you at Sis?  We need to actively choose differently to obtain different outcomes, and We can choose differently...today! We'll revisit the Blackity Black experience of going to Essence Fest for the first.time.ever! I got my Black injection ya'll. How good does it feel to not police yourself. How good does it feel to just be. While in NOLA, I unburdened my pain through laughter and performed at the Black Girl Giggles Comedy Festival. I am certain I am definitely 10 lbs lighter given the lightness I feel (although the beignets, butter, and salt say otherwise). What a ride it has been, We reflect on my first visit to New Orleans - a scene from Act 1 of the yet written play aptly titled - "The Destruction of A Marriage." That first visit was during a very dark time - one filled with personal defeat, sadness, and confusion. Reflecting on today's sojourn - one that illustrates (using Michael Beckwith's term in Life Visioning) an "unfoldment," is something I could never have imagined.
