Episode Synopsis

What we are not fuxing with today is forgetting that every Uppity Black Woman has a backstory.  That backstory colors the Uppity Black Woman's interactions with the rest of the world.  We'll revisit the course of a relationship between myself and a fellow Uppity Black Woman, where my understanding of her was based in not knowing her backstory. It made me question many of the judgements I have made about other Uppity Black Women, and conversely what some may have felt about me. I posit that not addressing our backstories or hers, stems from not having full compassion for our selves as the world does not allow the Uppity Black Woman to navigate the world without performance (and a stellar performance the world shall certainly receive). The Uppity Black Woman performs superhuman acts (just to be thought of as human), even in the midst of incredibly stressful backstories. Sis, it always come back to love. Once we master love of self, compassion for our backstories, we can then see fully, feel deeply, and send love to our Sister. If you are an Uppity Black Woman, ready to say: I.Can't.Fux.With.You!
