Episode Synopsis
From a young age, she loved both cooking and languages. While she became an English teacher for practical reasons, her thirst for languages led her to study abroad in Germany. Then, she embarked on a backpacking journey to a rural village in Italy. Meeting a kind farming family there, she spent nearly 10 years there learning about food stories and the Italian language while nurturing her dream of becoming a chef. Believing in the power of the stories that food carries, she settled in Jeju Island, where she engages with local farmers and creates local food. Embracing local consumption and the concept of ‘Farm to Table’, she aspires to share fresh and healthy food with a wide range of people. Pursuing simple home-cooked meals that keeps the fresh flavors of ingredients alive, she diligently continues to collect food stories today.
