Brittany graduated with my Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2008. After beginning her teaching career in 2005, she has been a school counselor for the last 16 years.  She's a Licensed Professional Counselor and Child-Centered Play Therapist.   Cluster Leader for school counselors in Plano ISD Certified Child-Centered Play Therapist Presenter at the Texas Counselor's Association Conference CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in schools in Texas) Award Winner for 3 years Developed a non-suicidal self-harm protocol for Richardson ISD Assisted in the implementation of an after-hours counseling program for at-risk youth in RISD Trained in Youth Mental Health First Aid She's worked with some of the most challenging yet resilient students and hard-working, dedicated professional educators in the state; they have influenced my work in such a positive way. She enjoys helping others feel safe and happy. She builds relationships, connecting with children, and empowering them to make their own good choices while meeting the challenges of growing up. Code Counseling offers kids ages 3-9, one on one child-centered play therapy in the playroom while the counselor offers therapeutic powers of play to help the client resolve social/emotional difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development.
