This episode wasn't in the content calendar. It’s a little heavy, but it needs to be said. I’ve been criticized before that I put too much emphasis on the “human/heart” stuff and not enough on tactical/linear approaches that “move the needle forward.” And I get it.As community builders, we want to grow. We have big dreams and want to help a lot of people. There is nothing wrong with that.But when we don't keep the main thing TRULY the main thing, stuff like this happens.So I won't apologize or back off these issues. Yeah, next week this email might be about some cool tactical way to onboard community members or an interesting way to engage with your Facebook group.But the day we stop talking about the human side of community building is the day we don’t deserve to talk about it.Love you guys & I’ll say it again and again,The work you do matters. -Heather
