Andrew shares his recent conversation with a client who was struggling with late-night eating, despite following a healthy diet throughout the day.Types of Hunger:Andrew explains that there are only two ways hunger shows itself: 1) when you haven't eaten in a while or are under eating 2) when you eat as a part of a habit you have. He then explains the concept of true hunger, which is hunger that doesn't go away with water, activity, chewing gum, or a distraction, and often appears with an energy low or cravings for sugar or salt.Understanding True Hunger:Andrew uses an example of a car's fuel tank to explain the concept of true hunger and compares the energy level of a person's body to the gas in a car's tank. When you skip meals, it's like not filling up your gas tank. Eventually, your body will give you a warning signal in the form of hunger, just like the light in a car that tells you to fill up.He also highlights the fact that the longer you ignore this signal, the worse true hunger gets, and it can have a negative impact on your metabolism, energy output, and thyroid. Additionally, he explains how hunger cues may lead to sugar or salt cravings, which indicate a lack of energy or increased stress levels.Connect with Andrew here:Linked inhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/andrewcostaf4a/facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/andrew.costa.56april program sale for coaching: www.fit4allfitness.com/april23Support the showget support with coach andrew here: https://ovou.me/fit4allfitnessincDont forget to listen to coach andrew on instagram and facebook FB: https://www.facebook.com/andrew.costa.56INST: https://www.instagram.com/coachandrewcosta
