"Be kind; everyone is fighting a hard battle," is a popular quote. It's a terrible thing that so many view the Church as anything but kind. There is more to people, there is more to you, that what is visible. Despite political, religious or lifestyle differences we are called to be kind. We don't have to agree to be kind. But we must be kind. Our Father commands it because He is kind. "It is His kindness that leads us to repentance," (Romans 2:4). "He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities," (Psalm 103:10). Conversely, "... God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us, " (Romans 5:8).
