Listen "Part 1: Response to Listener Q on rest"

Episode Synopsis

"I’m on a search for why the sabbath is such a big deal in the bible. My intuition says there’s a link between this and trauma and healing from trauma. Have any of you studied into this?" --Listener question on the Hope Beyond Trauma podcast group on Facebook.
I didn't find any research on Sabbath and trauma, but we do know that “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.” Rest is necessary! In this episode, I discuss why the need for rest is amplified for trauma survivors, what the Sabbath is, and what rest is not.
