Susan is based in Denison, Texas, and works with the Denison Chamber, helping local businesses grow through connection, collaboration, and creative promotion. Her background includes working in sales at KXII-TV, where she developed a strong foundation in marketing, messaging, and relationship-building. Filmmaking has long been a creative outlet, especially when shared with her father, who often appeared in her commercials and projects. After the passing of her mother, Susan became the full-time caregiver for her father during his journey with dementia, an experience that brought both challenges and meaningful personal growth. In this conversation tonight, Susan and I will talk about the passing of our parents and also share openly about navigating grief, and how creativity and community have played a role in healing.
