The church at Thyatira is warmly commended by Jesus for its deeds, its love, its faith, its service, and its perseverance. They were also growing, and developing, and progressing.

However, in the midst of all of that, there were compromises that were being made. They tolerated a self proclaimed prophet called Jezebel, who was misleading people, the church at Thyatira had love, but tolerated the false teachings.

Responding to the call of holiness can be costly. And requires the courage and conscience to be intolerant of behaviors and values that oppose the very heart of God.
