The KINGFISHER. Its name in the Irish Language is ‘Cruidín’. The Latin name is ‘ALCEDO ATTHIS’. This little bird is an AMBER listed bird in Ireland. There are numerous collective nouns for the Kingfisher. Concentration, Realm, Crown, Rattle, Clique. Interesting, Kingfishers are solitary birds and generally don't like each other very much.
