Listen "012 - Becoming the Sheriff: Don Ash"
Episode Synopsis
Text a Message to the ShowToday I am talking to Sheriff Don Ash. Don is retiring after getting elected three times as Sheriff of Wyandotte County, Kansas, and that came after a 35 year career in the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department. Don is a well respected leader and man of faith; he's approaching 50 years in law enforcement. If you have aspirations to be a leader of an organization, perhaps the place you're at now or a different one, take a moment and soak up this wisdom. Moving from a merit or seniority based system to campaigning for a public office is a big leap and Don has a lot of wisdom about how to approach this transition. He also offers insight on how to navigate moving into a new agency, in this case from the police department to the top job at the Sheriff's Office.Music is by Chris Haugen from the YouTube Audio Library and by Winking Fox Music from Pixebay.Hey Chaplain Podcast Episode 012Support the showThanks for Listening!
