This episode provides a conversation with BU Sargent Alumni Randi Jacoby ([email protected]) on her advice on how parents can bond with their kids during the COVID-19 pandemic from a language pathologist’s perspective.
Randi Jacoby, M.S.C.C.C., is a Licensed and Certified Speech and Language Pathologist, who holds a Master of Science Degree from Columbia University. She is the Director of Jacoby Speech Therapy Associates, a private group practice specializing in pediatric communication development and learning skills. Ms. Jacoby has served as a lecturer to both parents and educators at the 92Y Parenting Center and 92Y Nursery School for over 20 years, as well as a consultant to many New York City private and public schools. She has been a contributor to New York Family magazine, as well as to many parent education portals. She was noted to be one of the top therapists in her field by “A Parent’s Guide to Special Education in New York City.” Throughout her career, Ms. Jacoby has been an ardent advocate for children with developmental disabilities and learning disorders.
The moderator of the podcast is Dr. Karen Jacobs ([email protected]), who is the Associate Dean, Digital Learning and Innovation, a Clinical Professor and the Program Director for the on-line post-professional doctorate in the occupational therapy program at Sargent College.
