At first, the planchette barely moved, tracing a lazy 'no' to their timid inquiries. But as the night grew darker, the whispers grew louder. The planchette began to slide with purpose, the letters forming words that sent chills down their spines. It spelled out a name, "Martha," and a date, "1863." The children shared a nervous glance, their hearts racing. They had stumbled upon something ancient, and possibly malevolent. The room grew cold, and the planchette shot to the corner of the board, coming to a sudden halt after spelling the word "RUN."
