2008 VSHF Inductee, Jerome Kersey, rose from humble beginnings in Clarksville, VA to become an NBA Champion. Through his time growing up in Clarksville to attending college at Longwood, and NBA stops with Portland, Golden State, LA Lakers, Seattle, San Antonio, and Milwaukee, Kersey made an impact on many of the people he came across. While he sadly passed away in 2015, his life is remembered through the recent book “Jerome Kersey: Overcoming the Odds”, by 6x Oregon Sportswriter of the Year, Kerry Eggers. On this episode of #HallCall, we will catch up with two people impacted by Kersey, Rohn Brown and Bryan Kersey, both of whom were at Longwood during Jerome Kersey’s 4 years on campus.
