Listen "Christina and Cacao PART 2 with Christina Kim"
Episode Synopsis
She deals does she!?
Christina and Cacao PART 2 coming through!!! What does Cacao look like as an industry? Cheap profit, deforestation, exploitation of indigenous communities and culture…you’re not wrong there, but in sitting down with Christina, I like to think our conversation spoke more so to the solution-driven energetics that are being implemented globally; though we may not always see or know of it.
It might not make headlines, your local newspaper, or that of your daily instagram feed, but this bean speaks to a lot more than just its drool inducing tendencies. Human rights, culture, communities, a lack of government-wide enforcement, company infrastructures, downstream to our own retail frontlines, right into that mug of steamy cocoa.
Cacao is known as a heart opener. It did Christina’s, it has done so for many, and will continue to do so for those to come. It’s not going anywhere. I say so because of people like Christina, because we talked, because I got to listen in on someone who’s trajectory stands testament to what we’re capable of in learning, cultivating, protecting, and sharing when it’s something we hold dear.
We also talk cacao face masks and rituals. Because what are we if not ritual abiding creatures with a penchant for chocolate.
