DJ Tony Humphries. The master. Absolutely a "legend" in the game.

I recorded this tribute mix on 11-28-2016. It contains new and a few noted classic house tunes. The vibe is type MELLOW and STOMPING yet VERY ENERGETIC, reminiscent of how Tony Humphries sometimes used to put it down on his 98.7 Kiss FM radio mastermix show and live at the legendary Club Zanzibar.

DISCLAIMER: 
This mixtape was ACTUALLY RECORDED USING DIGITAL MUSIC FILES... NOT ANALOG RECORDS/VINYL. I just decided to put "60-MIN CASSETTE TRIBUTE" in the title as a tribute to "cassette culture." (Cassettes & tapedecks were old-school "analog" tools used to record & playback music.) While recording this mix I even left a small pause between the two 30-minutes segments. Anybody remember those TDK, Maxell, Sony, etc. 60-minutes cassettes? Remember on "playback" that pause in the music (unless U had a tapedeck with auto-reverse), and how we used to manually remove the cassette from the tapedeck and flip it over to hear the other side? Thinking about it, EVEN people that had auto-reverse decks had to deal with that slight pause, too. LOL!!!

Anyways hope y'all ENJOY this mix, recorded as a tribute to one of my top 5 DJ influences, GOING WAY BACK to the early 80s: DJ TONY HUMPHRIES.
