Her research focuses on how students from marginalized backgrounds navigate challenges such as the impostor phenomenon and institutional barriers, and how cultural assets can help them thrive in higher education. Dianna currently serves as vice president of Puentes, a U-M graduate student organization focused on fostering community and professional development among Latinx scholars. After completing her graduate training, she aspires to become a faculty member at a Hispanic-Serving Institution, where she hopes to mentor and train the next generation of scientists.
