Eric Schurenberg is a successful media executive and award-winning journalist now dedicated to fighting the tide of toxic misinformation and polarization. Among other efforts in this area, he co-hosts a podcast called In Reality, with Joan Donovan of Harvard’s Shorenstein Center. Most recently, Eric was the CEO of Mansueto Ventures, the owner of Inc. and Fast Company media properties. During each of his four years in that role, the company recorded its best financial performance to date, as the brands expanded beyond print and digital into live and digital events, video, data, and recognition programs. Eric’s tenure culminated in his leading the company to the first profitable year in its history, 2021. For the three years before becoming CEO, he was the editor-in-chief of Inc., during which time the magazine was twice a National Magazine Award finalist for general excellence, winning once. Before joining Inc, Eric was the founding editor of CBS MoneyWatch.com and the editor in chief of BNET.com for CBS Interactive; the sites together won more than a dozen awards for design and journalism during his tenure.
