Salvation is not of our own. No one who is born of the faith came up with their own plan to be saved. by the authority of God which is the Gospel message we heard and we responded to it and were saved.
this enters each of us into a new life and new direction, and just as we did not come into the faith on our own neither can we live the Christian life by our reason and way.
we must learn what the Christian life is and how to live it.
the letter to the Churches, 1 John, is a good start to learning the principles of the Christian faith.
