God And Beer - Edition 21- Jeremy Ambrose (Australian Catholic University) An event from the Knights of the Southern Cross Victoria to bring together Catholic men and women of all ages from across the south-east suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, several times a year. The aim is to inspire and strengthen Catholics by providing ideas and inspiration for renewal by drawing on the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic faith. The twentieth face-to-face event (held at the Notting Hill Hotel on Monday February 12, 2024) featured Jeremy Ambrose, Pastoral Associate for Staff at Australian Catholic University's Melbourne Campus. Jeremy spoke on "Catholicism at the Movies". Can anything good come out of Hollywood? Join us for an entertaining and inspiring look at some of the great films where art and evangelisation have come together on the silver screen. Jeremy Ambrose has completed a Master of Arts in Theological Studies at the University of Notre Dame Australia and is the Pastoral Associate for Staff at Australian Catholic University's Melbourne Campus. He is passionate about the Arts, especially movies, books and Elvis Presley music. He curates monthly film screenings for the Melbourne Catholic Cinephiles community. An initiative of the Knights of the Southern Cross Victoria to bring together people of all ages from across the south-east suburbs of Melbourne each month. Our aim is to inspire and strengthen Christians by providing ideas and inspiration for renewing the Church by drawing on the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic tradition.
