“If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.”  - James 1:5 We face different challenges in life, but we can rely on God for wisdom to succeed. Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. Life challenges and trials take on new meanings with wisdom from God’s Word. It builds our faith, grows, matures, and makes us wiser. So when going through difficult times—ask God for wisdom.  Job demonstrated wisdom when he lost his business and his children in Job 1:20-22. Job mourned; that's expressing his feelings. He worshipped God, which shows his trust in God despite his pain. Job demonstrated wisdom; he has a divine perspective. He knew that all he had came from God. He is only a steward. Job praised God, the ultimate owner, and giver of everything he has, and acknowledged God'sabsolute right over them. Job did not curse and blame God. He did not sin. In the end, God blesses Job more than what he loses. When facing difficulty, getting upset, irritated, and blaming others is easy. But these negativities will add more burden to your situation than help. So, ask God for wisdom. And believe in your heart that he will give you wisdom, for he is generous. Instead of negative thoughts, listen to what is pure, peaceful, considerate, right, and true.  When you have wisdom, you can have the right relationship with your situation and can respond well. You can express your feelings, worship God, admit your weakness and limitation, and praise God for the blessings and losses. God is generous. Because you remain true to Him, He can trust you more than your losses. Ask God for wisdom so difficulties can become light and beneficial.May you ask God for wisdom when facing difficulty. Amen.
